Township Monthly Meetings
Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month starting at 6:00pm at the Township building located at 311 New Philadelphia Road in Kaska.
Planning & Zoning Boards
Planning & Zoning Boards hold their meetings the 2nd Tuesday of every other month. Planning Board meets at 6 pm and Zoning Board at 6:30 pm. Meetings are held at 311 New Phila Road, Kaska, Pa. Remaining dates for 2026 are September 8th and November 10th.
Police Coverage
Blythe Township has their own Police Department. When they are not on duty, the Pa State Police provide coverage. The police station is located at 311 New Philadelphia Road in Kaska.

Water Utility
Water is supplied by the Blythe Township Water Authority. Bills are sent out quarterly. Payment can be made by:

Sewer Utility
Sewer is provided by the Schuylkill Valley Sewer Authority. Bills are sent out quarterly and can be paid by mailing back payment with instructions provided in the bill.

Garbage Collection
Garbage collection is provided by Casella
Waste/Trash will not be picked up if it is in a barrel. It must be in a regular trash container or in bags up to 33 gallons.
There is a 3-bag limit per week per household for trash pick-up.
Trash should be put out Monday evening for a Tuesday pickup. Bulk items will not be picked up by Casella. These items can be taken to the transfer station in Tamaqua and residents would pay by weight to get rid of them. Please call Casella directly if you have any questions at 570-668-4515.
Your 2026 yearly sanitation collection bill has increased significantly from $192.00 to $372.00 due to hauler fees. This bill will be paid by revenues generated from the landfill (BRADS).
